Pretty much my life motto. Sweat and Sweets. Ha! No, but really…it’s no secret that I’m all about hard work in the gym (or yoga studio or in your home or outside, wherever you like to get your workout on!) but a few treats every now and then is totally fine. I particularly enjoy when I can find sweets that are healthy so I feel like I’m indulging, but in fact it’s really not too bad.
For example: working hard like I did in Thursday night’s hot yoga bootcamp class…

And then feeling totally worthy of a lil treat.
Like this one.

These lil’ babes are quite delish.
Made with Perfect Fit protein powder, no flour, all pretty good ingredients! I just had to make something to celebrate National Peanut Butter Day before it was over and this was what I came up with. Definitely happy with the results. Make ‘em.

Nom. 95 calories per bar by my calculations. That’ll fix your sweet tooth right up and not make you feel like you’ve completely undone your entire workout.
Happy weekend! xoxo ♥

LOVE the cookie bars recipe! I’m always looking for new sweet and healthy treats to have on hand for the afternoon hunger or mini dessert at night
Yummm! I am so going to make these! I just made healthy banana bread for the weekend: http://lifeistoliveandlove.wordpress.com/2013/01/25/healthy-low-fat-banana-bread-recipe/ , do you think I could sub the flour for perfect fit???
I think you probably could, yeah! it’s really good for baking.
these look so dense and delicious!!
Hey Bess! I want to try this workout, but I’m a yoga virgin and need illustrations lol. Love your motivation to always kick your behind! Also, so glad you introduced me to the TIU girls!
No problem! You can always ask if you need me to explain a move. Let me know! Also, yogajournal.com has a database of just about every yoga move ever, so you can look there as well. But the bootcamp stuff isn’t just yoga focused so it might not always be there. I’m happy to help!
Those bars look great! How many servings did you have to get the 95 cal/bar? Thank you!
I think it makes roughly 12 bars with the 9×9 tin
That workout looks intense. Nice work, lady
And thanks for posting. I’m looking for some new workouts (non-running related) for this weekend. I think I might give this a go.
Do you find that perfect fit tastes like Sunwarrior Vanilla? I have looked at the ingredients and they seem pretty similar….
I’ve never used Sunwarrior so I’m not sure. Sorry! The closest thing to it I’ve had would probably be Vega since it’s organic, vegan, gluten free, etc…but I think Perfect Fit tastes so much better than Vega. Vega has a very earthy taste (which I hear Sunwarrior does too) and I think Perfect Fit has a softer flavor. If that makes sense. Hope this helps!
I didnt have banana, so I used 1/2 cup of yam instead. I also added 1 TB of PB, used all egg whites (all I had), and reduced the honey to 1/4 cup (but a few stevia drops). Really nice dessert! I used an 8×8 pan, portioned them into 16 squares, and froze them wrapped in wax paper and aluminum for a nice treat anytime I want. Thank you for a great recipe.
