Good morning and happy hump day! Friday’s so close I can feel it! Anybody else? Wishful thinking maybe? The week has actually been going by pretty fast I think, and I think that’s because I’ve been adding in these fun challenge workouts and taking more time to cook and prepare meals. Aka juicing which I’m currently obsessed with.
Last night I went to 75 minutes of hot power vinyasa yoga and was a sweaty mess when it was over! Class really flew by. I finished my workout with three times through the new TIU Love Your Body full body workout video and ate some spicy shrimp salad for dinner while I watched Pretty Little Liars. Yes I watch PLL and most of you probably already know that. It rules. (Even Mike watches it but don’t tell anybody.)
The spicy shrimp salad was super easy to make and was inspired by Madison’s Cajun Shrimp Cocktail. All I did was boil the shrimp (it was already peeled and deveined), chop up the shrimp, celery and cucumbers, mix together 1/4 cup of olive oil mayonnaise (not olive oil AND mayo) with some Old Bay Seasoning (that’s the part inspired by Madison), stir all together and then refrigerate while I was at yoga. It was ready when I got back! Super easy and I have plenty of leftovers for lunch today. It’s also not super spicy FYI. Some cayenne or crushed red pepper would take up the heat if you’d like it to be that way.
This morning I got the day started with 3 rounds of the Malibooty workout. I made more juice last night to have today at breakfast, and last night’s mix was spinach, kale, celery, cucumbers, and an apple. Also having a blueberry Perfect Fit protein pancake.
I had my meta-D on the way to work and a cup of black coffee once I got to work. Muy importante!
Tonight’s workout is going to be the Secret Admirer cardio again. I LOVED this workout when I did it last Friday. I am going to try to get more mileage in this time to beat what I got last time. I’m also going to try to take Mav on a walk. It may be dark when I finally get to it but that’s fine.
