Stairs & Snacks

As it turns out, the stairmaster workout I made up and did yesterday was pretty tough.  The levels I assigned myself were so hard! Level 18 was the highest I could do without falling off the thing.  But I got it done and felt so great after.

I finished off the workout with two times through two different Tone It Up workouts, one being the Love Your Body and one being the new one that came out this week, Love Your Legs!

Fun routine and makes me want that cute pink sports bra!

Dinner was a very easy creation in the crockpot.  I intended to make a Chicken Tortilla Soup but didn’t have all the ingredients, so I just made do with what I had.  It still turned out great :)

In it was: 1 can chicken broth, 1 can drained black beans, 1 can drained white beans, three 4oz chicken breasts (shredded after cooking) and then all these seasonings to taste: curry powder, chili powder, black pepper.  Sprinkled some cheese on top afterwards.  Not the best pic but I promise it was delicious. Actually that might be the worst picture on this entire blog but whatever.

Made a fun snack for work today…”Cocoa Nuts”!

Raw almonds with some cocoa powder!  You can see the full recipe here.  Obvi Mav wanted some.

Also had my TIU Nutrition Plan metabolism-boosting drink (Meta-D!) on my way to work this morning (which I usually have unless Mike gets me coffee!) and took it in my blender bottle.  Just for a fun little change and to really get everything mixed together well.  Shaking it up mixed better than simply stirring.

And I’m having a protein pancake for breakfast.  With extra blueberries.  So many blueberries, in fact, that the pancake is having a hard time staying together.  It also doesn’t help that during flipping it, it fell apart a little.  So I’ll spare you the bad picture of the broken blueberry pancake.  One bad pic per post is enough ;) At least it still tastes yummy.

Not sure what today’s workout is going to be, but I know I’ll be stopping by the store on the way home to pick up groceries for my Juice Cleanse!  Also pretty excited that I have a 4 day weekend to look forward to.  Tomorrow is my 25th birthday so I took the day off :)  With the MLK holiday on Monday, that proves for a nice little weekend! YAY!

The only thing in my way…this work day.  Better get it crackin’.  See ya!
