Yay weekend!
Mine has gotten off to a very positive start with my workouts. After work yesterday I went to the gym to get in some cardio. I didn’t know what I was going to do until I got there, and as I stepped on the treadmill I set out to do some running with some sprints mixed in. I ended up following the same pattern of run to spring ratios until before I knew it I had done it 15 times and nearly had 5.5 miles under my belt in about 45 minutes. I finished the rest of the hour out with some steady state running and then a short cool down walk.
Here’s what I did:

If those speeds are too fast or too slow for you, just modify it to fit your needs! I had my “run” speed be just a normal easy run pace so set it where you feel comfortable, but obviously you should feel a little uncomfortable during the sprints…I mean, those things shouldn’t be easy! I did the whole workout at a 2.0 incline. My total workout mileage ended up being 6.5 miles on the treadmill and then I went home and took Mav on a short 1 mile walk while it snowed on us.

This morning I was up to do a short 2 mile easy walk/jog with Maverick before hot yoga. As you probably know, I don’t do a ton of running since the marathon and therefore my legs are super sore from the interval session last night. So we just did a lil’ jog/walk and then I went to 75 minutes of hot power vinyasa yoga to get a good workout in but also to stretch it out.

Yoga was awesome as usual, jam packed on a Saturday morning and despite us doing lots of warrior twos and extended side angle postures (that really target my quads, which are dead) it felt great and I’m glad I went.
Refuel? A blueberry & pineapple stuffed protein pancakes with even more of the same on top, plus a little Nuttzo, which I received in the mail yesterday! Awesome Friday evening treat to get!

Deeeeelish.
Gunna rest up and get some stuff done today. Hope you had a good one!
Let me know if you try the workout

Totally going to do that workout this afternoon- thank youuu!
This looks like a KILLER treadmill workout and one that I certainly will be doing sometime soon! I hate the TM but changing the speed up definitely helps in passing the time and it increases calorie expenditure!! Thanks
