Improvement and Early Morning Yoga

by Bess on January 10, 2013

Like I mentioned, I completed the Secret Admirer cardio workout yesterday evening.  I set out to beat my previous mileage goal of 4.12 and beat it by 0.56 mile, with a total mileage from that workout as 4.68.  Improvement!  I love how the workout changes it up just when it should to prevent any boredom.  After the workout I left the gym and took Maverick on a short 1 mile walk.

This morning I was up early to head to 6am hot yoga power hour.  It was a great stretch and way to start the day.  We went through lots of sun salutations and detoxifying twists as well as a few balance postures.

It was dark when I walked into the studio and a beautiful sunrise had started by the time I walked out.

I have a few extra hours this morning before work so I also grabbed Maverick and we went on a 2 mile walk.  The weather was a little warmer this morning than usual so it felt nice if only just a little chilly.  For January, I’ll take it.

After the walk it was time for breakfast.

Blackberry stuffed protein pancake with some extra Perfect Fit Protein sprinkled on top.  Also a green smoothie made with almond milk, coconut water, frozen strawberries, and spinach.

So yummy!

Wish I could stay on the couch with this lil (big?) guy but it’s time for work.

Have a good day and I’ll catch ya lata!

Mmm your breakfast looks so much better than the nut bar I grabbed on the way out the door this morning! I wish I could get up as early as you do in the mornings!!

That pancake sounds absolutely delicious!! I have to be to work by 7:30 and have a 25 minute commute so AM workouts are out of the question for me as I’m not a morning person.

I really want to get on board with the TIU challenge but I’m experimenting with workouts my body responds to best in terms of the goals I have set for myself. Can’t find it just yet but hope to soon :)
