Er, wake up workout!
I started my day with this workout that I put together last night before bed. I basically did it with the body parts I want some extra toning on in mind, and this is what I came up with.

It was enough to get my blood flowin’ and wake me up!
Tonight I’ll be going to hot yoga again. Last night’s practice was seriously the most amazing ever. I can’t really explain why but I left feeling really happy and grateful. And it was obviously a good workout…and I ALMOST got into a split! I don’t think I’ve done a split since I was 7. Not there yet but I will get there!
After class last night I enjoyed a yummy dinner of extra lean ground turkey with steamed broccoli and organic cabernet marinara sauce.

Such an easy meal to make, too. I cooked the ground turkey before going to yoga so all I had to do was steam the broccoli and heat up the sauce and put it all together. Making it ahead of time ensures that I’ll eat healthy and not tell myself that I’m “too tired” to make something good for me. It also helps me not miss a second of any of The Bachelor craziness. I mean…Tierra…really. Wow. That’s all I’ll say about that.
So after my Wake Up Call Workout, I had a tupperware of delicious overnight oats waiting for me for breakfast. 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1 tbsp chia seeds, 1/4 cup almond milk, 1/4 cup water. This morning I added 1 tsp of peanut butter as well as some raisins and slivered almonds.

Sometimes I forget how much I love raisins. They are tasty.
And now to be productive for the day.
Have a great day!
What’s your workout today? Do you have any tips/tricks to help you eat healthy when you think you may come up with excuses not to?

I’m always jealous of people who can wake up early and workout before their day begins. I really SHOULD start doing this, but I love any extra sleep I can get
I pack all my meals for the day the night before. It’s not fool-proof, but it definitely helps me stay on track more-so than if I went into the day not knowing what I was going to have.
Love working out in the AM. I’ve finally been going to hot yoga regularly and it’s so amazing. I just can’t believe I fought going for so long bits seriously the best!! I know what you mean about just feeling happy after a good practice.
Planning ahead is definitely key for me! By reading other blogs, I’ve come up with a few quick go-to ideas. For example, making quinoa ahead of time and then when its time to eat add a few steamed veggies and a fried egg. A salad is always quick and easy for me too. The important thing is to have all the ingredients on hand or else I’m doomed!
Oh I just love raisins in my oatmeal. They plump up and add a bit of natural sweetness. Just what I’m craving in the morning! Love that workout. Do you do it at a gym? I like your style – doing a short wake up workout then some yoga at night. I might try that. It sounds like a good way to split up the day.
I am someone who tries to make my lunches ahead of time before the work week! So either tofu with veggies, a veggie burger with edamame, or even a home made soup. It encourages me to have a healthy mind set.
