♥ Happy Love Day ♥

Happy Valentine’s Day, lovers!

First things first, let’s get one important thing out of the way.

I do!

I also love sweating, so I started my day with 6am hot yoga.

We did lots of heart-openers in honor of Valentine’s Day.  Having an open heart is a wonderful way to approach life, not just on February 14th, so if ya wanna do some yogi heart opening of your own, check out these 10 Heart Opening Yoga Poses to help you feel the love♥.

And now, Valentine’s Day treats.  Made this 2-ingredient fudge with vanilla icing to take to work and this chocolate cake.

Like I mentioned yesterday, Mike & I are going to have a romantic little date at home.

That’s not to say I want it to be just like any other dinner we eat at home together.  I’ve got some cute decorations and made up mini menus for our dinner :)  I kinda love that we get full say over exactly what we wanna have to eat.

I’m particularly excited about our dinner.

I do cook a decent bit but rarely try new recipes or *gasp* even ACTUALLY try a recipe that I pinned on Pinterest.  But that changes today! I made the Mac & Cheese last night to save some time from a recipe I pinned a while back.  I’m going to be thinking about it all day long because it looks amazing.

Recipe here, “Perfect Mac-n-Cheese.”

After work I’m going straight to the gym to get a workout in if I have time, then heading home to get ready for dinner.  Gotta get the crab cakes made, grill the steaks, steam the green beans, and make the chocolate lava cakes!  May seem like a lot but I think it’ll be easy enough.  Labor of “love” ;)

Pics of the full meal to come tomorrow.

Happy ♥ Day!!

Any plans for you today?

What would be on your perfect Valentine’s Day menu?

Super cute menus! My boyfriend and I are just going to curl up to a movie tonight. He has a class that goes until about 7:30 so there’s just not enough time. Tomorrow we’re going to cook a nice dinner at home together though–just have to figure out what the meal will be since it’s lent and he doesn’t like fish… Sure limits the options!

    • very true! maybe a cozy pasta dish? if you like pasta you should try the mac n cheese recipe I linked to…I had a bite of it last night…amazing. I can’t even believe I made it haha it was pretty easy too!

  2. Those menus are just adorable!
Actually, every recipe I’ve tried from Pinterest (about five or six now) has turned out great.
I’ve only been dating my boy a couple weeks, but I made him dinner last night and we’re going duckpin bowling and getting pizza and beer tonight… I’m excited!
